Paul DolanPaul Dolan started DJ’n at the tender age of 15 and it was his love and passion for playing house music that got him where he is today.

He secured his first residency in the legendary Shaft nightclub on Thursday nights playing everything from House to Trance in the early 90’s. He then played a host of other clubs in the city –The Kitchen, Purple Onion and The Temple of Sound to name but a few. From there Paul got involved in pirate radio hosting his own show on Kiss FM and Nova and this is where Phuture Phunk was born. With playing the majority of clubs in Dublin and working hard on his radio show, Paul was approached by the legendary club promoter “Laurence Malice” of TRADE to come and join the Trade family in the UK.

Paul secured a weekly resident DJ slot in one of London’s best nightclubs by coming 1st in the infamous Trade DJ test, beating off nine other up and coming DJ’s at that time, making this a very explosive time in his career. With a weekly resident in Turnmills, playing along sides DJs such as Tall Paul, Steve Thomas, Fat Tony, Gonzalo and Malcom Duffy. Paul was also approached by Ministry of Sound Radio and co hosted several shows on there internet radio and also did a spread for Ministry Mag.
Paul then got the life long dream job of being invited to play in the world famous Manumission in Privilege Night club in Ibiza, and from that successful night, the work rolled in. Trade sent him out to Los Angeles in the United States, to set up their newest venture in The Palace night club. Paul was based out in the sunny settings for over four months and got to play in some of LA’s biggest clubs on the West Coast from The Palace to the Key Club in 2002. One of the highlights of his tour of America was when he was asked to replace Junior Vasquez playing to a jammed packed club of over two thousand clubbers.

On his return to the Dublin music scene Paul quickly snapped up a residency in Dublin’s Spirit nightclub where Phuture Phunk joined forces with DJ Dave Connell to bring Dublin clubbers exactly what they’d be craving for … a new, exciting and fresh sound of house music.

Their sound was so cutting edge that they quickly established themselves on the Irish dance scene by playing in Dublin’s best nightclubs such as SIN (supporting DJs Anthony Pappa & Funkagenda), POD, Andrew’s Lane, WAX, Tripod and Marquee. Between 2009 and 2010, they became residents for 515 at Tripod playing along side such DJ’s as Sebastian Leger, James Lavelle, Timmy & Tommy to name but a few.
2011 has become the beginning of a new adventure in Paul’s music career all thanks to D-Underground crew, particularly DJ Paddy Sheridan. The relaunch of The Kitchen Nightclub welcomes D-Underground DJs Paddy Sheridan and Paul Dolan fortnightly, with BUMP from Saturday 28th May … expect a twisted blend of House and Techno.
